And now for something different. Wines in this range demonstrate Simon's innovative treatment of specific parcels of fruit and his willingness to challenge the 'everyday' winemaking process. Simon loves to experiment while capturing the raw, ethereal and sometimes undiscovered qualities of individual grape varieties

 

Wrekin Vineyard

  • Colour/Appearance Dark ruby red with purple hue
  • Aroma/Bouquet Spicy dark plum compote, dried rose petal, Smokey oak and anise
  • Palate smooth, dark and brooding, sweet ripe fruit, liquorice and spice notes, mouth filling tannins with a long lingering finish
  • Cellaring This wine should cellar well, until at least 2019
  • Suggested Foods Peking duck, roasted venison, seared lamb and wild-mushroom ragu
  • Serve Mild room temperature
